The smile she bore on her rosette lips shined as she made her way down the elegantly decorated aisle. Her beauty enthralled everyone in the chapel, and they found themselves unable to take their eyes off the beatific young woman. Beside her was a nicely groomed man who escorted her down the walkway. With every step they took, they grew closer to the male waiting for her at the alter. And soon, her father handed her over to the man, tears welling up in his [e/c] orbs. She gave him a reassuring smile, and tightly placed her lips on his cheek.
"it'll be okay," she whispered in his ear.
He gave her a warm, genuine smile and took a seat.
She then turned to face her betrothed, and the priest began the ceremony.
"You clean up well, brat." The ravenette man mouthed, taking her hands into his own.
"You don't look half bad yourself," She grinned.
The priest cleared his throat, causing the couple to look up at the man.
"It's time to say your vows." The robed man repeated.
The onyx-haired male sighed, and dug out a piece of paper from the inside of his pocket. He carefully unfolded the crumbled sheet, and glanced at the celestial woman in front of him.
"[Name] [Last Name], you are the center of my universe, even though you can be such a brat sometimes. However, I will always love you, adore you, and be at your side. You are the only person I will truly love with all of my heart. You are breathtakingly beautiful, and each time I look at you, you take my breath away. I love your childish personality, stubborn attitude, and curious eyes. I promise to take care of you, to treat you like a queen, and to stay faithful to only you. So today, I am giving you this ring as a proclamation of my love for you. You are my home, I don't want to live anywhere unless it is with you."
He read the vows word for word, and when he was finished, the noirette man picked up the silver band that laid on a platter and slid it onto the delicate finger of his lover. He gave her a small smile, and wiped away the tears that fell from her orbs.
"Levi Ackerman, you are such a clean freak. I swear if I was never in your life, you'd be marrying windex." She chuckled. "However, no matter how many times you call me a slob -- I will still love you. I will still love you even if you are so old, you look like a turd. I love the way your name rolls off my tongue. I love the spark I feel whenever our hands touch. You were the best boyfriend ever, but being a boyfriend isn't enough for me. I want it all; I want to wake up with you by my side. I want you to be the father of my children, and be there to spoil our grandchildren. I cannot wait to see what our future together holds, because I know that with you by my side, it will be worth living. So, take this ring as a token of my love."
She slowly took his hand, and slid a band around his ring finger.
"You may now kiss the bride."
Levi gave her a smile, and wrapped his arms around her waist. He tilted her head up, and smashed his lips into her's.

"The seasons of nature repeat annually. Spring goes off and comes back again.
But for us, humans, the time does not return."

She laid on her husband's chest, soft breaths came from her parted lips, and she snuggled closer to him. She could feel him snaking his arms around her body, and peppering the top of her head with kisses.
"Stop Levi." She grumbled, and brought a hand up to his head full of hair, ruffling his jet-black locks.
"You stop, brat."
He swatted her hand away, and held her tighter.
"Hey, [Name]?" He whispered, and received a hum in response. "You know how you said, you wanted me to be the father of you-- our kids?"
"Yeah." She responded, perching herself up with an elbow.
"So, I was thinking maybe we can start a family?" He asked, his eyes trailing down to her chest.
She broke out into a smile, "Really?"
"Yeah, and besides..." He grinned, "The process of making a baby is fun."
Tears illuminated her eyes like jewels, and she furiously wiped them away. Her face held a ghastly expression, and she drowned out the rest of the doctor's words.
How quickly fate could change for her -- for them.
Ovarian Cancer; the plague that infected her body. The reason why she remain infertile, the cause of her not being able to have kids.
She quickly left the oncologist's room, and slowly drove home, dreading the moment she would have to tell Levi the news. The news that could potentially ruin their relationship. She wouldn't even be surprised if he left her then and there, to find someone who could give him what he wanted.
A family.
How distant that was for her now, how unrealistic and impossible the thought was.
She drove up to the drive way, turned off the car's engine, and sat there. Silver streaks rushed down her cheeks, but this time she didn't bother to wipe them away.
"I cannot wait to see what our future together holds, because I know that with you by my side, it will be worth living. So, take this ring as a token of my love."
"You were living in the clouds, [Name]." She bitterly told herself, "There is no future, not anymore."
She slowly exited the car, and opened the front door.
"Levi, I'm home." She called out, her voice nasally.
No answer.
She let out a sigh, and slipped her shoes off. "He's probably still at work." She muttered, and headed for the couch.
"I'll tell him later."

Winter came, taking the life out off everything, including her.
It was a cold morning when he found out the truth that she had been hiding. When he found her laying in an eternal slumber on the floor.
He quickly rushed to her aid, trying to wake her up, but it was no use.
She wasn't responsive.
The ravenette quickly called the ambulance, but they couldn't do anything to save an already dead person. All they could do was deliver the tragic news to him.
That the love of his life had terminal cancer.

"My Dearest Levi,
I fear I am a coward when it comes to bringing terrible news. Or maybe I was just selfish, selfish in keeping you here with me, to watch me live out my life without any knowledge of what will come. I'm dying Levi. There I said it. I'm. Dying. Maybe I'm already dead. But, I want you to know, you've made me the happiest I have ever been. Being married to you was like a rush of excitement, and I hope you'll find someone else who feels that way. I hate to say this, but please...please move on Levi. There is someone out there, someone who will stay. Just keep looking, okay? I love you, and I will always look after you.
Love,
[Name] Ackerman."
Love,
[Name] Ackerman."
He sat on the lush grass, reading the note written for him, for the umpteenth time. His tears dripped down, staining the already blotchy ink.
"If you only knew how hard it is to move on." Levi whispered, "You wouldn't tell me to move on."
He got up from his usual sitting spot, and placed a bouquet of her favorite flowers by her grave.
"Happy Anniversary, [Name]."

Her hands rested at his neck, one thumb brushing against his jaw line. She was looking into his eyes intently with her head tilted to the left. That little half-smile that stopped his hearts beating in his chest lit up her whole face. She was whispering something so softly he couldn't hear it at all. Yet every feeling and every thought was conveyed. He could read the love in her eyes and see she was content in the tilt of her head and the curve of her lip. Their hearts were beating in perfect tandem. He had never felt so comfortable.
But then his eyes opened. He found himself alone in a cold bed. Surrounded in silence but for his laboured br

Levi x Reader [ Modern!AU ]
The sun’s morning rays kissed her skin, the warmth caressing her cheeks and she took a deep breath of the chilly air. She looked over her shoulder, calling out to her boyfriend in a singsong voice, “Come on Levi! You’re usually faster than this!”
Casually making his way down the last few steps of their apartment building, he muttered something unintelligible, a deep scowl on his visage as he squinted against the sunlight. Stuffing his hands into the pockets of his coat, he huffed indignantly and fell into step with her.
“I hate the cold.”
Her cheery expression never faltered
